Blogging is something that almost all people with internet connection are trying to venture, but it is not an easy task. It’s not a lesson that you will learn overnight, or something that you can jump into unarmed and still end up successful. Before you will start your blog or blogging, you should at least know some blogging tips not just to make more money, but to know all the curves and turns of how the business works.
You should also send Trackbacks to other people’s blogs as well. When they see the Trackback, they will usually visit your blog to see what you had to say about theirs. Again, this increases your traffic, and potentially increases your readership as well.
Keyword-rich, that is. blogs are a great way to generate keyword-rich content, especially if you update your follow me each day. In fact, for some smaller businesses, blogs make more sense than hard-to-create web pages. Blog software makes creating a blog almost automatic while the spiders on search engines seem to favour high-quality and often updated keyword-rich blogs.
Find blogs in a specific niche. For example, I do publicity consulting for a number of industries. But I’ve written guest posts for blogs that reach specific verticals – like medical, pets, bridal, and crafting communities. Even though these blogs don’t have a ‘big’ reach in numbers, the niche audience and content matched so well that I gained plenty of new fans.
Audio blogging and video blogging can be powerful forms of communication. Again, they aren’t for everyone but don’t rule them out. Are you a singer or someone who makes a living with their voice? If so, you might consider a blog that incorporates audio. Maybe not every day, but in some kind of creative and useful way that promotes your voice skills so that potential customers can evaluate your voice and audio technique.
If you want to make money blogging, the first thing you need to do it have a blog. There are a number of blogging sites that allow you to build a nice looking blog about whatever subject suits your fancy. Yet, it is this subject that can help determine how much money you can make with your blog. If you want to make money blogging, you should try to look at which topics will pay more per click than others. You can usually do this through Google AdSense and Google AdWords, which allow you to see how much each click costs. Google AdSense allows you to place ads on your blog, and you earn money every time someone clicks on an ad.
So don’t listen to the experts. Simply try out a handful of blogging services and blog programs and find the one you like the best. The one that “fits you” is the one to use.
